Main steps for paper making:
.Making the paper pulp. Take the pulp plates and/or waste paper, particularly suitable are used envelopes, tear them into small pieces and soak them in ample, lukewarm water. Then stir it until turns into a homogenous mass, the pulp.
.Paper making. Use the mesh to scoop out the paper. The paper should reside on the upper side of the mesh of the inner frame. Let the excess water drip through the mesh back into the tub.
.Taking out the raw paper. Lift the outer frame and place a couching cloth on the paper in the inner frame. Now turn the inner frame upside down and place it on the table. Lift the frame by a week pressing on the gauze so that the raw paper stay’s on the cloth on the table.
.Couching. Put the second couching cloth on the top of the paper. Now you dry the paper by pressing on the couching cloth. You can use a press or weights to press out as much water as possible. This work is so called “Couching” what is the main idea of paper making.
.Pressing and drying. After drying, take the paper off the couching cloth, lay it on a flat surface and let dry further. Before the paper is completely dried, it will be pressed on more time. Once it is completely dried, it can be flattened with a regular iron.
