Apply the underglaze pencil to bisque ware to create a variety of unique decorative designs.<\/div>\n<div>Sponge on first coat of clear glaze lightly, in order not to smear design. Let dry and brush additional coats of clear transparent AMACO\u00ae glaze. This precaution is unnecessary if the glaze is to be applied by spraying, dipping, or pouring. Pieces are fired to the maturing temperature of the covering glaze. When spray application of a covering glaze is desired, first refer to individual listing to be sure it may be sprayed safely.<\/div>\n<div>Unlike regular pencils\u2014care must be taken in sharpening Underglaze Pencils. Do not use a pencil sharpener. It is best to sharpen them with a knife or blade.<\/div>\n<div><strong>NOTE:<\/strong>\u00a0The maximum firing temperature is Cone 10 for Blue, Black, and Green, Cone 5 for Brown and Yellow, and Cone 05 for Rose.<\/div>\n<div>If left unglazed, AMACO\u00ae Underglaze Pencils should not be used on surfaces which come in contact with food or drink. AMACO\u00ae clear glazes LG-10, F-10, and HF-9 or any other dinnerware safe glaze are recommended to be used over AMACO\u00ae Underglaze Pencils to make them dinnerware safe.<\/div>\n<div>AMACO\u00ae Underglaze Pencils have only been tested and approved as dinnerware safe when applied and fired under LG-10 Clear Glaze.<\/div>\n<div>To reduce smudging, mix 1 tablespoon\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amaco.com\/shop\/product-323-amaco-gum-solution.html\" target=\"_self\">AMACO\u00ae Gum Solution<\/a>\u00a0to 1 pint of water in spray bottle.
