Instructions. Brush the Gilding Paste over the clean, dry surface (wood, plaster, glass, metal, cardboard and etc.).  Leave for about 15 minutes. Then place the gold leave on the object and brush it gently with a very soft brush. To finish, polish with a cotton cloth. If needed, apply more gold leave over the top. If necessary, protect the work against metal oxidation with varnish. To obtain the effects  produced through time, use Patinating wax.
